Admission Charges

The Museum of Transport does not receive grant funding like the free national museums and is operated by the volunteers of the Greater Manchester Transport Society. In order to sustain the Museum project, the Society must raise funds, and admission is an important funding source.

Adult (16 and older)...................................................	£4.00
Over 60's..................................................................	£2.00
Child (between the ages of 5 and 15 inclusive).............	£2.00
Children under the age of 5........................................	Free
Family (up to two adults and three children).................	£10.00
Persons in receipt of income support (on production of proof of unemployment)....................	£2.00
Registered disabled (on production of bus pass or other proof of disability)...	Free
Students (on production of proof of status).................................	£2.00

- Children must be accompanied by an adult.

- Holders of a valid Wayfarer ticket are admitted to the Museum free of charge.

- Employees of GMPTE, Metrolink and Greater Manchester bus operators are admitted
- to the Museum free of charge.

- Different charges may apply during special events.

We accept payment by cash, cheque (with a valid cheque guarantee card) and major credit and debit cards.
