Notes to Editors
Princess Road Garage was opened in October 1909 by Manchester Corporation Transport Department. It was transferred to SELNEC on 1st November 1969, changing to Greater Manchester Transport on 1st April 1974. On 26th October 1986, Greater Manchester Buses took over the operation of bus services from Greater Manchester Transport. The company was then split into two: GM Buses North and GM Buses South in 1993, with Princess Road becoming part of GM Buses South. GM Buses South was sold to Stagecoach in 1996 and Princess Road is now part of the Stagecoach Manchester operation.
