28 July 2008

The famous 53 bus route returned to Belle Vue for one night only on Monday 28th July to help celebrate 80 years of Manchester's historic Belle Vue Speedway.

Several former Manchester Corporation buses which used to operate the 53 service were on display throughout the evening, helping to recreate the atmosphere of days gone by. In addition, Speedway stars from the past paraded around the track on the Museum's open top bus.
