Travelling to the Museum

Free heritage bus service between
the Museum of Transport and Manchester Victoria (Corporation Street, stop NU)

Major works in Manchester city centre mean that our free heritage bus service will use stop NU outside the New Century Hall (formerly The Co-operative) on Corporation Street (close to Manchester Victoria):

A free shuttle service will operate between Manchester Victoria (Corporation Street, stop NU as above) and the Museum of Transport, every 20 minutes throughout the event, using heritage buses:

From Manchester Victoria (Corporation Street stop NU outside New Century Hall)
0950, 1010, 1030 and every 20 minutes until 1650

From the Museum of Transport
1003, 1023, 1043 and every 20 minutes until 1703

By car

On main event days, due to limited parking facilities, we suggest that visitors park at either Manchester Arena, or at any other central Manchester car park and then catch one of our free heritage buses (see above).

By bus

Travel to Manchester Victoria (or Shudehill Interchange, the nearest bus station) and then walk to Corporation Street to catch one of our free heritage buses to the Museum (see above).

By train or Metrolink

Travel to Manchester Victoria, then walk to Corporation Street and then catch one of our free heritage buses to the Museum (see above).

Train tickets stating Manchester CTLZ as the destination are valid within Metrolink City Zone, allowing passengers from Manchester Piccadilly to reach Shudehill at no extra cost.

Heritage Vehicle Attendance at this Event

Although this event is not a rally, there is very limited space for people to display their preserved vehicles. As space is severely restricted, it is essential that you contact us in advance to let us know that you will be attending with a vehicle, stating which vehicle you intend to display and the day on which you will attend - please send an email to email (at) gmts . co . uk
