Festival of Model Tramways
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July 2010
This very popular event returns to Manchester. Many displays of operational model tramways and a free heritage bus service.

Opening hours for the event will be 10am to 5pm
Admission Charges
Please note revised admission prices will apply for this event: Adult: £7, Over 65s: £6, Under 16s free.
Travelling to the Event
By car
On main event days, due
to limited parking facilities, we suggest that visitors
park at either the MEN Arena, or at any other central
Manchester car park and then catch one of our free
heritage buses
from Manchester Victoria (adjacent to the Arena) to the
Museum (from the bus stop opposite the main station
entrance).
By bus
Travel to Manchester
Victoria and then catch one of our free
heritage buses to
the Museum (from the bus stop opposite the main station
entrance).
By train or Metrolink
Travel to Manchester Victoria and then catch one of our free
heritage buses to the Museum (from the bus stop
opposite the main station entrance). Train tickets
stating Manchester CTLZ as the destination are valid
within Metrolink City Zone, allowing passengers from
Manchester Piccadilly to reach Manchester Victoria at no
extra cost.
Free heritage bus service
between the Museum of Transport and
Manchester Victoria
A free shuttle service
will operate between Manchester Victoria station approach
(opposite the taxi rank) and the Museum of Transport,
every 20 minutes throughout the event, using heritage buses:
From
Manchester Victoria
0950, 1010, 1030 and every 20 minutes until 1650
From
the Museum of Transport
1003, 1023, 1043 and every 20 minutes until 1643 (final departure appox.
17:10)
Free heritage bus service
between the Museum of Transport and Heaton Park Tramway
A free shuttle service will operate between the Museum of Transport
and Heaton Park Tramway every 20 minutes throughout the event, using
heritage buses:
From the Museum of Transport
1010, 1030, 1050 and every 20 minutes until 1630
From Heaton Park Tramway
1030, 1050, 1110 and every 20 minutes until 1650
