Trans Lancs Transport Show posterTrans-Lancs Transport Show

Sunday 2 September 2012 (Museum open)

The Trans Lancs Transport Show is a family friendly day out featuring classic and modern transport from the North West and beyond.

The Show is based in Heaton Park which is one of the largest public parks in Europe. With something for everyone, there’ll be classic and modern buses, military and commercial vehicles, cars and motorcycles on show. Close by are the Boating Lake, Lakeside Café and the fun fair. Also in the Park are a children’s farm and playground, a Pitch & Putt Course and Heaton Hall itself.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be regular heritage transport links between the Show and the Museum of Transport, using the Heaton Park Tramway and heritage buses from the Museum’s Collection. This will give visitors the opportunity to see the large Collection of local buses and coaches on display at the Museum and to visit the Heaton Park Tramway.
